‘Get the Hell Out of Palestine’

Helen Thomas, the doyen of the White House press corps, a journalism legend who has served there for more than 57 years was asked to make a comment about Israel on the Jewish Heritage Celebration Day hosted at the White House on 27 May 2010.

The Rabbi David Nosenoff asked if Helen Thomas had any comments on the state of Israel, to which she replied, “Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine!”

The small conversation went on somewhat like this:

Rabbi: Any comments on Israel? We are asking every body today…
Helen: Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine! [laughter]
Rabbi: Oooh! Any better comments?
Helen: Remember these people are occupied and it’s their land.
Not German and it’s not Poland’s..
Rabbi: So, where should they go?
Helen: Go home.
Rabbi: Where’s home?
Helen: Poland, Germany and America and everywhere else..

No sooner the 89 year old octogenarian’s comments were over the Zionists in US began to bark like wild dogs saying she is an anti-Semite that she needs to be kicked out of the White House. They accused her of hiding her hostile feelings towards Israel for all the past decades that she served covering every US President since John F. Kennedy.

Helen, born August 4, 1920 began her journalism career after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in English in 1942. She had seen the turmoil in the Middle East over the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine and the hypocrisy by successive US Presidents in trying to reconcile Jews and Arabs in Palestine. She has been forced to retire from her 67 year old career as result of her comments which was made not long after Israel attacked and killed 19 people in the aid flotilla travelling to Gaza.

Once during George W. Bush administration, after a speech at a Society of Professional Journalists, she was asked by a sports writer why she was sad, she replied, “I’m covering the worst President in American history.”

Helen asked the newly elected President Obama if any Middle Eastern country possessed nuclear weapons. This was an obvious reference to Israel’s speculated nuclear weapons arsenal, which both the Israeli and US governments have refused to acknowledge. Obama refused to comment by saying that he did not want to speculate on the matter.

The Jews cannot bear to hear any negative comments on Israel but they demand that Islam be reviled and insulted under the guise of ‘freedom of speech’.
