Is the US descending into further chaos?

Newly formed NFAC militia in Georgia
The United States of America is currently undergoing turbulent times since the brutal killing of George Floyd, an unarmed black American by police in Minneapolis. The killing ignited spontaneous protest marches across the United States calling for an end to police brutality on African Americans, racial inequality and injustice towards people of colour.

The protests organized by Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement received support from all racial and ethnic communities across the United States. Millions of people marched in cities and towns demanding justice for all those killed under police custody. Black Americans have become so frustrated with the status quo that they have decided to form their own militias to protect and liberate members of the black community.

The disproportionate use of force by the police to disperse the protesters prompted the United Nations human rights office to issue stark warnings to US authorities. The law enforcement officials have attacked journalists and either confiscated or destroyed their equipment on several occasions.

President Donald Trump often busy with China bashing amid the Covid-19 pandemic calls the BLM protesters as anarchists, agitators and looters trying to undermine everything the United States stands for. President Trump denies there exists oppression, racism, injustice, bigotry and bias towards non-whites in the United States.
